Shrink the App Closed Their Doors 11/30/2016

Well, it looks like another one bites the dust! First it was Snap by Groupon that closed up shop. And now Shrink the App has decided to end things too. It really came with no warning.

Well, I kind of had an idea something was up. You see, I requested a cashout to my Paypal in early November. Usually it takes them a few days to pay. I never had to contact them before about payment. They just always paid. Well, a few days went by and no payment received. Okay, maybe I made a mistake?!? Well, I went ahead and requested payment again. Nope! Still nothing. So, mid-November I sent them an email asking them whats up. I get a response saying I will be paid within 48 hours. 48 hours passes and again …..NOTHING! Red flags go up immediately. What is going on??? I just knew something was wrong.

Now, I know this kind of thing happens, don’t get me wrong. But they need to pay people what is owed to them. If you are owed a payment whether it be $2 or $40, make sure you get your money. Email support@shrinktheapp.com and let them know you are owed money. From posts I see on Facebook, it looks like they have started sending payments to members.

UPDATE: Shrink paid me today, 12/6/2016. They have paid many people who were owed over $20. The company has decided that the best plan of action is to pay those members have reached the minimum payment threshold, which is $20. They will pay as many people as they can with the remaining funds that are leftover.

“Currently, all of Shrink’s funds is being allocated to processing cash-out requests. However, we kindly ask for your patience as this may take up to two (2) weeks.
1. All cash-out requests submitted by midnight PST December 1st, 2016 (deadline extended) by users whose balance is $20 or higher will be fulfilled within this time frame.
2. If you have more than $20 in your account and have submitted a request, and do not hear back from us by December 15th, please email us at payment@shrinktheapp.com
3. After this time frame, if our funds allow, we will do our best to process cash-out requests from users whose balance is less than $20. Please email us at payment@shrinktheapp.com with your email associated with PayPal or Venmo.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for being a part of the Shrink community.
